Kai F. Sturmfels studied law in Cologne and Cambridge, with a focus on commercial and corporate law, tax law and European Law. He was admitted to the bar in 1999.
During his legal training, Kai did a term with the European Parliament in Brussels. He then worked at a Brussels law firm specializing in the legal issues pertaining to cross-border trade and European law. Before joining the Düsseldorf office, he worked for a law firm specialized in commercial law. He is a partner of the firm.
Kai’s work predominantly deals with private construction and real estate law, commercial and corporate law and employment and labour law issues. Kai is certified expert lawyer in construction and architectural law (Fachanwalt für Bau- und Architektenrecht) and in labour law (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht). He is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences, and is also a member of the supervisory board of a hospital and a credit institution. He is European Chairman of the PG Labour Law of GGI. Moreover he is an assistant lecturer.
