Michael Wendler studied in Cologne and Bonn, with a focus on corporate and commercial law. He was admitted to the bar in 1981 and has been a member since. Before founding WENDLER TREMML, nearly 30 years ago, he worked as in-house counsel for a major family-owned German company.
In addition to advising German businesses of which the majority is controlled by foreign investors, Michael’s work primarily involves representing the legal interests of Eastern European companies conducting business activities in Germany, including in European law matters. This includes providing regular advice to institutions and associations from the acceded countries as well as speaking at seminars and conferences, particularly to business and advisors in Poland, Hungary, Romania, Lithuania and Croatia. He is a co-editor of the publication “Key Aspects of German Business Law”.
Michael represents clients in courts of arbitration in various countries.
